UPLB

Biomathematics Initiative

Mathematics in Biological and Social Sciences
>>>COMPLEX DYNAMICAL SYSTEMS<<<

The UPLB BioMathematics Initiative is a research endeavor that was set up in the year 2010 by the Institute of Mathematical Sciences and Physics (IMSP) in UPLB with the help of Dr. Eduardo Mendoza (Balik Scientist from Germany) and Dr. Baltazar Aguda (Balik Scientist from USA) under the guidance of the IMSP Director. Drs. Editha C. Jose and Jomar F. Rabajante are the proponents of the initiative.

The Initiative supports the distinctive excellence thrusts of UPLB in Agriculture, Natural Resources, and Environment. It has established long-term collaboration with the UPLB Bee Program, helping in research and extension activities. The Initiative continuously builds its capacity by establishing Biomath courses in undergraduate and graduate programs, recruiting more researchers and mentors, sending its members to study in international institutions, and expanding its local and international collaboration.
